UPEI defeats UNB to claim NB/PEI University Men's Rugby Championship
The UPEI Panthers held their nerve to defeat UNB and claim the NB/PEI University Men's Rugby Mike Lloyd Trophy for the first time in the team's history. Straight from the kick off the Panthers turned pressure into points with Brandon Adams and Liam Carter both running in first half tries. UNB would fight back to lead 17-15 in the second half but a clever kick to Isaiah Hood followed by Mark Lloyd's show and go would see the Panthers to victory. Final score UPEI 32 - UNB 29.

Tries: Brandon Adams, Liam Carter, Isaiah Hood, Mark Lloyd Con: Mark Lloyd (3) Pen: Mark Lloyd (2)

Performance Highlight
Mark Lloyd provided a dominant performance for the Panthers by kicking 3 of 4 conversions. Lloyd would also go 2 of 2 penalty attempts and scored the game winning try. Lloyd controlled the game very well and made sure the Panthers played in the right areas from the fly half position. Mark is also the son of the trophy's namesake so it was fitting he had an excellent game for the Panthers.
