The Panthers finished the regular season with an undefeated 10-0-2 record, identical to their top rival, the Dalhousie Tigers, setting the stage for a potential showdown in the final.
However, the path to the championship won't be easy, with four other teams—the St. FX X-Women, UNB Reds, Saint Mary's Huskies, and Mount Allison Mounties—ready to challenge for the title and pull off an upset.
Leading the charge for UPEI is the league's top scorer, Kayla Batchilder, who netted an impressive 18 goals during the regular season. Dalhousie's Lindsey Doiron followed closely behind with 13 goals, while Panthers Jenaya Ross and Carly Acorn rounded out the top five with 10 and eight goals, respectively, making UPEI's attack one of the most formidable in the league.
As the tournament's top seed, The Panthers automatically advance to the semifinals and will face the winner of the Saint Mary's–UNB quarter-final.
