Dal Game… Positives… Up Next
Positives arise from lose to Tigers
A tough loss for us this past Saturday night against a very good Tigers team, 90-86. We played well at times, holding them to 13 points in the first quarter and 17 in the fourth, but allowed them to score way too easily in the middle frames. Take nothing away from Dal, they were better than us that night, but I know that we can certainly be better than we were.
I am very proud of our team culture right now. Our guys are certainly frustrated and feel terrible about the situation that we currently find ourselves in, but to a man, I believe that everyone feels that we are all in this together. We know that in order to turn this thing around, it is going to take a full and complete team effort. We are going to look at what happened in the second and third quarters against Dal, but we are also going to look at the positive side of being down by 21 points near the end of the third quarter, and bringing the game back to within two possessions with under two minutes to go in the fourth. We will have some very good practices this week, tough and physical, there will be some hard and critical lessons handed out… but make no mistake, it will all be done in a very positive manner. Our team has won two of our last four! We have beaten a tough Acadia team and a Queen's team that currently sits 5-1 in the OUA, our two losses have been against two teams in the CIS Top Ten! I truly believe in my team, and I believe that we will turn this thing around. We know we need wins now, and we are going to do our best to get them… TOGETHER!
Up next for us is a trip to CBU and X. We play in Cape Breton this Friday night at 8:00pm, and in Antigonish 8:00pm Saturday. The Capers game is a four pointer, and the X game is a two. We need wins and more importantly points, so we will need to be ready!
GO PANTHERS GO!
