Two Big Ones This Weekend… Bus!

We are on the road for a couple of huge tilts this weekend! The first one comes tomorrow night in Sydney, where we tangle with the Capers in a four pointer. CBU is just below us in the standings, and are very hungry to get a win. They have lost a number of close games, and are playing very hard and well right now. Playing at CBU is always a very good environment, their fans are loud and into the game, much like ours. The Capers have a number of quality players, and their coaching staff have done a very good job preparing them for games. We feel like we are well prepared going into that tough environment, and certainly expect to play at our highest level. We both need these four points desperately, and it should be a great game! After facing a tough Capers team Friday night.

It doesn't get any easier for us on Saturday, as we roll into the Oland Center to meet the red hot X-Men. X has won five straight league games, and are always very tough at home. Coach Konchalski has done a great job rebuilding his team, and it certainly shows. This team is physical and tough, and does not lack in athletes or talent. As in all of our league games, especially on the road, we will most certainly have to play at our highest level if we hope to head out of Antigonish with two points. Both of our games this weekend are 8:00pm starts, and it would be fantastic to see any UPEI Alumni or Panther fans in general at these important contests!

We now have our own new Bus! I am thrilled to say that our teams will now be traveling in the Panther Mobile! Our bus has action shots of a number of players on all sides and back, and of course, lots of GREEN! I think this is a great move by our University, and wish to thank them and the community and corporate supporters who made this bus a reality! All Maritime AUS towns and cities beware… the Panther Mobile is coming!
