Swimming Recap

The Men's and Women's Swim Team traveled to Acadia for the 8th Annual
Jack Scholz AUS Invitational to kick off their 2016/17 AUS Season. 

A team of 11 Athletes took part in the two day invitational.  Six UPEI
swimmers scored top 8 finishes. 

Leading the way was first year swimmer Pieter VanLeeuwen 3rd in the 1500 meter Free, and followed it up with a 5th in the 400 meter Free.  Stephanie Hatayama an AVC student
was 5th in the women's 50 meter Free.

Two swimmers had 6th place finishes where Callie McAuly in the 200 meter Breaststroke and Joseph
Sulaiman in the Men's 50 meter Fly.

Rounding up the the TOP Panther finishes where Matthew Swim, 7th in the 400 meter Free and Rebekah Nitschmann, 8th in the 200 meter Free.

Next up for the Panthers will be the Amby Legere AUS Invitational at
UNB from October 29th-30th.

AUS championships will be held at UPEI in February.
